Privacy policy

Zephyraxil is a reading site with no accounts and a single form, used to order the PDF workbook. This page sets out the little that is collected, and how to ask about it. It is written under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Who is responsible

2. Information handled

Request data. The hosting provider and the Cloudflare delivery network record IP address, requested page, time, referrer and user agent. This is how a website is served and how abusive traffic is blocked.

Consent state. One value in your browser's local storage, holding your answer to the cookie notice. It never leaves the device.

Correspondence. Email you send to the address above, kept while the matter is live.

One form exists, on the workbook page, and it is described in section 3. No account can be created. No newsletter is offered.

3. Purposes and basis

Serving pages and keeping them available is our legitimate interest. Replying to correspondence follows from you starting it. Optional measurement or advertising, if ever enabled, runs on the consent recorded in the notice and nothing else.

4. Disclosure

Two processors are involved in delivering these pages: the hosting provider and Cloudflare. Nothing is disclosed to advertisers, data brokers or analytics vendors, because none are connected. Pages load no external fonts, no social widgets and no third-party scripts.

5. Overseas handling

The delivery network operates globally, so request data may be processed on servers outside Australia. Australian Privacy Principle 8 applies to that disclosure and we hold the provider to contractual protections consistent with it.

6. Storage periods

Delivery logs rotate on a short operational cycle. Correspondence is kept while relevant and then deleted. The consent value remains in your browser until you clear site data.

The order form

One form exists on this site, on the guide page. It collects three things: your name, your email address, and an optional message, plus the item you selected. Nothing else is asked for, and no payment detail is ever entered on this site.

What happens to it: the request is delivered to the publisher through the Telegram Bot API, which means Telegram processes the contents of the message as part of delivering it. Telegram's own terms apply to that transmission. The same details are then used to reply by email, to send payment details and to deliver the file.

The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract, and then performance of that contract. Order correspondence is kept while the order is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of a later question about it; it is not used for marketing and is not shared with anyone beyond the delivery described above.

The form also carries a hidden field that is invisible to a person and only ever filled in by automated submissions. If it is filled, the request is silently discarded.

7. Access, correction, complaint

Write to [email protected] to ask what is held about you or to have it corrected; we reply within 30 days. If our handling of a privacy matter falls short, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner accepts complaints at oaic.gov.au. Readers in the European Union may instead approach their national supervisory authority.
